[origin: WO9910865A2] In order to prevent or at least difficult inappropriate range readjustment of the operational parameters of a device, readjustment is limited by a value interval, whose mean value is adapted to the momentary value of the operational parameter. Readjustment of operational parameters which are subject to changes caused by aging or slow environmental influences are thus substantially simplified. This is particularly advantageous when readjusting the operational parameters of a display device, for instance the power supply voltage of a color LCD display, since in pactice, it prevents a user from rendering a display unusable as a result of inappropriate readjustment.
