Abstract (en)
The tensioning unit (10) has a tensioning-head (20) contained in a housing (22). The tensioning-head comprises a tensioning appliance (24). a clamping and closure unit (26). The housing has a web-guide divided into a back and front (40',40) part and positioned behind the clamping and closure unit in the web's direction of travel. Only the front web-guide part, together with t tensioning head is movable in relation to the housing. The back web guide part is movable away across the direction of the web's travel (B) and preferably against spring force, by means of the front web-guide part moved in the web's direction of travel.

Eine Spanneinheit 10 für eine Umreifungsmaschine dient dem Spannen und Verschließen eines um ein Umreifungsgut herumgeführten Bandes 18. Sie besitzt einen Spannkopf 20 und ein diesen aufnehmendes Gehäuse 22. Der Spannkopf 20 umfaßt eine Spannvorrichtung 24 sowie ein Klemm- und Verschlußaggregat 26. Er ist gegen Ende eines jeweiligen Spannvorgangs in einer der Spannrichtung S entgegengesetzten Bandlaufrichtung B relativ zum Gehäuse 22 verschiebbar. In dem Gehäuse 22 ist auch eine in Bandlaufrichtung B hinter dem Klemm- und Verschlußorgan 26 angeordnete Bandführung 40 vorgesehen, die in ein vorderes und ein hinteres Bandführungsteil 40' bzw. 40'' unterteilt ist. Dabei ist nur das vordere Bandführungsteil 40' zusammen mit dem Spannkopf 20 relativ zum Gehäuse 22 verschiebbar, während das hintere Bandführungsteil 40'' durch das in Bandlaufrichtung B bewegte vordere Bandführungsteil 40' vorzugsweise entgegen einer Federkraft allgemein quer zur Bandlaufrichtung B wegbewegbar ist. <IMAGE>
