Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1050462A2] The tensioning unit (10) has a tensioning-head (20) contained in a housing (22). The tensioning-head comprises a tensioning appliance (24). a clamping and closure unit (26). The housing has a web-guide divided into a back and front (40',40) part and positioned behind the clamping and closure unit in the web's direction of travel. Only the front web-guide part, together with t tensioning head is movable in relation to the housing. The back web guide part is movable away across the direction of the web's travel (B) and preferably against spring force, by means of the front web-guide part moved in the web's direction of travel.
