Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1050463A2] A hoop-casing machine for hoop-casing a stack of goods, especially a stack of newspapers or similar, by means of a hoop-casi strip. The hoop-casing machine has: - a work table (10,11); - a hoop-casing device (12) located on the work table with a strip guidance element (15) that is free of guide channel sections standing upwards in the transport path of the stack of goods from the workin surface of the work table; and - a transport device serving to feed the stack of goods forwards through the hoop-casing machine is provided with conveyor belt-like guide walls flanking the stack on both sides in the transport direction, plus a feed bracket (22) for the stack of goods mounted on each.
