Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1050641A1] When driver presses on door handle, locking request signal is sent to central control unit which, in response, send locking command signal to locking mechanism that locks car doors. Potential presence of identifier inside car is then checked. If identi is detected, car doors are unlocked, and central control unit now wait for further information from driver. Driver then confirms locking request by pressing on door handle, knowing that he is leaving identifier inside car, after wh control unit orders locking of doors. When central unit is waiting for confirmation of locking, wait is cancelled if one door is detected to be open before driver confirms locking, if no confirmation is received within set period, or if locking request sign is sent from inside car. An Independent claim is also included for the locking mechanism.
