[origin: EP1050718A2] The oven has an oven casing (10) whose wall (14,17) encloses the cooking chamber (15) and at least one vapour outlet (18), p in the casing top. A fan (2) mounted outside the casing wall has at least one suction region (26) connected to the vapour outlet opening and at least one outlet region (28). A fresh air duct (8) has ends opening into the exterior and into the suction region outlet duct (5) has ends opening into the fan's output region and into the exterior for outputting a mixture of vapour from the and fresh air. An Independent claim is also included for a method of extracting vapour from an oven chamber enclosed by a casing wall.
