Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19746049A1] Thermoplastic molding materials based on (A) polyester and (B) polycarbonate contain (C) a particulate emulsion polymer with a glass transition point below 0 deg C containing groups which react with carboxyl groups, (D) a similar polymer with no such reactive groups and (E) an ethylene copolymer with carboxyl groups. Thermoplastic molding materials containing (A) 2 - 98.4 wt.% polyester(s), (B) 0.5 - 96.9 wt.% polycarbonate(s), (C) 0.5 - 10 wt.% particulate emulsion polymer(s) with a glass transition point (Tg) below 0 deg C and containing functional groups which react with carboxyl groups, (D) 0.5 - 10 wt.% particulate emulsion polymer(s) with a Tg below 0 deg C containing no functional groups as in (C), (E) 0.1 - 10 wt.% ethylene copolymer(s) with carboxyl groups, (F) 0 - 60 wt.% fibrous or particulate filler(s) and (G) 0 - 20 wt.% other additives. Independent claims are also included for (a) a process for the production of molding materials by mixing (A) - (E) and optionally (F) and (G); (b) fibres, film and molded products obtained from the materials; (c) a process for the production of these end products by extrusion, extrusion blow molding or injection molding.
