Es wird eine vertikale Schlauchbeutelmaschine beschrieben, die sich dadurch auszeichnet, daß sie eine Hebevorrichtung aufweist, die den gefüllten Schlauchbeutel zum Umfalten des Füllstoffes auf die Füllgutoberfläche anhebt. Die Maschine besitzt ferner eine Faltvorrichtung, die vertikal unbeweglich zu einer Quernahtschweißvorrichtung angeordnet ist. Hebevorrichtung und Faltvorrichtung sind so gesteuert angetrieben, daß beim Anheben des gefüllten Schlauchbeutels über die Hebevorrichtung die Faltorgane der Faltvorrichtung horizontal einwärts bewegt werden, derart, daß der Hüllstoff zwischen den Faltorganen und der Füllgutoberfläche geführt straff gehalten wird. Auf diese Weise wird die Luft aus dem Schlauchbeutel besonders einfach herausgedrückt. <IMAGE>
