[origin: EP1052190A1] The dispensing valve (2) assembly component (1) has a first section (6) for fitting it to the container (4), a second sectio (10) for fixing the valve, and a channel (12) between the two sections to receive a locking ring (16) which expands the bottom o the channel radially to fix the first section to the container rim (8). The valve body is of an elastomer material, and the lock ring can be of metal or plastic.
