[origin: DE19852652A1] The invention relates to an ignition device with a high-frequency resonator. According to the invention, the resonator can be configured as a microstrip (12) on a printed board (100) (figure 3). Several resonators can be connected in a structure to the HF source via pin diodes. The resonator is electrically isolated at its cold end but is returned to earth via a capacitor in terms of high frequency. In this manner, ionic currents can be easily coupled thereto once an auxiliary voltage is applied.
