[origin: WO9939168A1] The invention relates to a pressure sensitive surface sensor comprising a two-dimensional support structure essentially comprised of flexible connection paths (12) and several pressure sensitive switching elements (18). The pressure sensitive switching elements (18) are supported at least at the location where the support structure is subjected to large three-dimensional deformations. To this end, said switching elements are supported by protruding elements (20) of the connection paths (12), said elements being configured such that they are unsupported.
