[origin: WO9942591A1] The invention relates to a genetic recombination product, containing an S-adenosyle-methionine-synthase gene, with the sequence SEQ ID no. 1 and a biotin biosynthesis gene bioS1, bioS2 and/or bioS3 with the sequences SEQ ID no. 3, SEQ ID no. 5 or SEQ ID no.7 and possibly at least one additional biotin synthesis gene sequence chosen from the group bioA, bioB, bioF, bioC, bioD, bioH, bioP, bioW, bioX, bioY or bioR. The invention also relates to organisms containing said genetic recombination product and to the use of same for producing biotin, as well as to a method for producing biotin.
