[origin: WO9941508A2] The invention relates to a device for joining flat elements or other components by pressure clamping, where one of the elements comprises a fixing groove or surface. Into said fixing groove a substantially U-shaped formed clamping part is introduced which on at least one shank has an elastic clamping arm pointing inwards and extending in the direction of the shaped part. The clamping arm has a profiled surface, especially a toothing, oriented against the direction of withdrawal of the element or component to be fixed so that by overcoming the resilience of the clamping arm the component to be fixed can be pressed from the open side of the U-shaped clamping profile into same and is fixed by the tension of the clamping arm as well as by the surface profile and cross-sectional shape.
