The device has a strip tightening roller pair (1) with a static roller (2) and a rotatable pivotable roller (3) for tighteni strip (11) applied around a product stack. The strip passes through the gap (12) between the rollers and around the pivotable roller. An actuator (10) is coupled to the pivotable roller lever (4) for actuating the lever so that the pivotable roller is applied to the static roller with a defined force, whereby the tensioning force in the strip is opposite to the actuation force that if the actuation force is exceeded the pivotable roller is temporarily lifted from the static roller and the tightening pro is cyclically interrupted.

Eine Rückspannvorrichtung für Umreifungsmaschinen ist mit einem Bandspann-Rollenpaar (1) versehen, das eine stationäre Konterrolle (2) und eine dagegen zustellbare Schwenkrolle (3) aufweist. Ein Umreifungsband (11) ist durch den Rollenspalt (12) bindurchgeführt und über einen Umschlingungswinkel (13) um die Schwenkrolle (3) herumgeführt. Die Schwenkrolle (3) ist auf einem Schwenkhebel (4) gelagert, der mit einer definierten Kraft (FZyl) beaufschlagbar ist. Die sich im Umreifungsband (11) aufbauende Rückspannkraft (FRück) ist der Beaufschlagungskraft (FZyl) so entgegengerichtet, daß bei Überschreiten der Beaufschlagungskraft (FZyl) die Schwenkrolle (3) kurzzeitig von der Konterrolle (2) abhebt und den Rückspannvorgang dadurch unterbricht. <IMAGE>
