Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1055776A2] The turnbuckle (1) is formed like a chain link. The tie rods (3) have external threads at the ends (6), and are tensioned vi nuts (5) inside the turnbuckle. The turnbuckle has slots (7) extending outwards, and the ends of the ties rods to be connected a inserted into the slots from outside. The ends have concave or convex support surfaces (4) for the nuts. Nuts or washers have congruent spherically convex contact faces.
