Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1056315A2] The high pressure gas discharge bulb, such as a halogen bulb (GDL), is connected to a firing circuit that receives inputs fr control module. The firing circuit has a trans former coupled to a symmetrical filter that includes a capacitor and two inductan The capacitor is connected in parallel to the lamp. Both inductances are formed with a closed soft magnetic core, such as high resistivity ferrite material. The cores are arranged in a ring format.
