Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2775286A1] Triphenylene derivatives carrying at least one hydrocarbon substituent having at least one H atom and at least one group capable of hydrogen bonding with the protein Tat (Trans-Acting Transcriptional activator) through a proton donor or acceptor group. The triphenylene derivatives are of formula (I) are new. A, B, and C = hydrocarbon substituents, each having at least one H atom and at least one group capable of hydrogen bonding with the protein Tat The group B is preferably a non-functionalized linear aliphatic chain having at its extremity at least 2 doublet acceptor functions, more preferably a 1-8 atom (especially 4-8 atoms) linear aliphatic chain (possibly containing 1 or 2 heteroatoms) with 2 doublet acceptor functionalities in the same plain (most preferably the doublet acceptors are carbonyls). Most preferred are 5-(2,5-dioxo-cyclopentyl)-n-pentyl or 5-(3,4-dihydro-2,5-dioxo 1H-pyrrol-1-yl)-n-pentyl. A and C are preferably either 1-4C aliphatic groups, or they carry at least one proton donor or acceptor group.
