[origin: DE19807456A1] Felt-free finishing of wool using a liquor containing a proteolytic enzyme is carried out with the wool stationary and the liquor agitated. Independent claims are also included for: (a) the use of the enzyme subtilisin, CAS number 9014-01-1, preferably in alkaline solution, in felt-free treatment of wool fibers; and (b) felt-free treated wool fibers.
