[origin: DE19808637A1] The invention relates to a d.c.-d.c. converter with a transformer and a reactance coil. The inventive d.c.-d.c. converter also has a controllable switch (S1) for switching the direct supply voltage (UB) on and off. The contact gap of a switching transistor (S1) is connected to reference potential on the connection tap between the primary winding (L2p) and the secondary winding (L2s) of the reactance coil (2), which is transformer-coupled with a set transformation ratio (u). The anode-cathode gap of a diode (D1) and an output capacitor (C2) is connected to reference potential in series with the secondary winding (L2s) of the reactance coil, the output voltage (UA) for a load (RL) being applied through the output capacitor. The input direct voltage is conveyed to the primary winding of the reactance coil via an inductor (L1) and a capacitor (C1) is located parallel to the contact gap of the switching transistor, said inductor (L1) and said capacitor (C1) creating a series resonant circuit which is effective in the switch-on and switch-off phase of the switching transistor.
