[origin: EP0939515A1] The invention relates to a method for operating a telecommunications network. According to said method, a network element on a network node of a telecommunications network is controlled by a switching computer (10). Event reports (E) containing information about events occurring during the operation of the computer are produced in the computer. A sequence of destinations in which each destination appears only once is used for relaying the event reports. The conditions for the destinations are tested using the information in the event reports (E) in the order prescribed by the sequence.
