A continuous slab casting mould has projecting water box ends (11') which accommodate clamping elements (7, 7') to form a mould plate clamping frame. A continuous slab casting mould has water boxes (3, 3') with ends (11') which project at both sides beyond both the broad side and narrow side mould plates (1, 2') and which accommodate clamping elements (7, 7') to form a clamping frame force-fitted in thermally conductive contact on the broad side plates (1).

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Stranggießkokille zum Stranggießen von Brammen aus Stahl, insbesondere von Dünnbrammen, umfassend Breitseitenplatten (1) und zwischen deren Enden mittels mechanischer oder hydromechanischer Spannelemente (7) einspannbare, lageverstellbare Schmalseitenplatten (2, 2') und Schmalseitenplattenhalter, wobei den Breitseitenplatten (1) Wasserkästen (3, 3') zugeordnet sind. Die Kokille wird dadurch verbessert, daß die Wasserkästen (3, 3') mit beidseitigem Überstand (11, 11') sowohl über die Breitseitenplatten (1) als auch über die Schmalseitenplatten (2, 2') hinaus ausgebildet sind und kraftschlüssig sowie wärmeleitend an den Breitseitenplatten (1) anliegend in der Funktion eines Spannrahmens an ihren überstehenden Enden die Spannelemente (7, 7') aufnehmen. <IMAGE>
