Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1057596A2] The cutting cylinder (2) has one or more radially projecting needles (8) for collecting waste from the cardboard cutting process, and an ejector (11) to remove the waste from the needles. The ejector has a straight section (11b) parallel to the generating surface of the cylinder and a slot (11a) aligned with the trajectory of the needle. A support (12) for the ejector has a first section (12a) fixed to the frame of the rotary cutter, and a second section (12b) which is fixed to the ejector and connected to the first section by guides (12c) with position regulators (17, 18, 21) and springs.
