Abstract (en)
The procedure for making one or more marks on a silicone article (2) consists of applying at the location (10, 12, 14) of each mark a layer of a coloring agent based on a second type of silicone that is compatible with the one used for the article and subjecting it to heat to produce the marks. The coloring agent is between 85 and 95 per cent, and preferably 90 per cent, by weight of silicone and between 5 and 15 per cent, and preferably 10 per cent, of a mineral pigment such as iron oxide. The heat, at a temperature of 100 - 200 deg C is applied for 2 to 15 seconds. The procedure is carried out by a machine incorporating a system for delivering the articles, a colored silicone applicator and a heater.
