Abstract (en)
The crane consists of a jib arm (31) mounted on the top of a mast (21, 22) and a jib head member (41) connected to the end of the arm by a pivot (45). The jib is supported by at least one stanchion (16) and a backstay (25), while the head member is divided by its pivot into a tip (43) carrying the load suspension assembly (53, 54), and a counter- member (42) which is connected to the stanchion. The movement of the head member relative to the jib arm is controlled by at least one transmission cable (51) fastened to the end of the head member and passing over the top of the mast. In addition, the jib arm can have a lengthwise channel of sufficient size to accommodate all or part of the head member.
