Abstract (en)
The appts. (1) for washing or impregnating textile piecegoods (W) has at least one treatment station (2) especially as a drum to carry the fabric (W) and apply the treatment fluid, followed by a dwell zone (3). The dwell zone (3) is formed in the adjustable gap between limit surfaces (4,5,5'). The dwell compartment (3) is formed between the inner surface (4) of a trough (6) and the outer surface (5,5') of a drum (7) which rotates within the trough (6). The outer surface (5,5') of the drum (7) has a variable radius. The surface (5,5') of the drum (7) has a number of neighboring elements, in the peripheral direction, which can slide radially. A cover is between adjacent elements to shroud the gap between them. The drum surface elements and/or the covers are hollow profiles, extending pref. over the whole drum (7) width, mounted to operating arms which can slide radially. Each drum surface element extends between two neighboring operating arms, secured to them with a peripheral sliding movement. Each cover is fitted to an operating arm. Each operating arm is moved along a curve on a rotating cam disk, in relation to the drum (7). The curve gives an increasing gap from the drum axis, in the peripheral direction. The operating arms can have bolts which ride in a radial guide at a guide disk, and the bolts ride along the curve of the cam disk. The operating arms, guide disks and cam disks are mounted on both sides of the drum (7). The cam disk has a motor-powered adjustment in relation to the guide disk. An Independent claim is included for processing fabric piecegoods (W) where the gap between the limit walls is adjusted in the dwell compartment to set the dwell time according to the nature of the fabric (W). Preferred Features: The drum surface (5,5') has a variable radius.

Eine Vorrichtung (1) zum Behandeln einer Warenbahn (W) mit einem Behandlungsmedium (B) weist wenigstens eine Behandlungsstation (2) und ein Verweilkompartment (3) auf, durch welches die Warenbahn (W) führbar ist. Das Verweilkompartment (3) wird zwischen zwei im Abstand (a,a') zueinander angeordneten Begrenzungsflächen (4,5,5') gebildet. Der Abstand (a,a') ist zum Einstellen von unterschiedlichen Verweildauern veränderbar ausgebildet. <IMAGE>
