[origin: EP1057939A2] The device has a deflector/divider wall (6) to form a channel smaller than the harbor etc. The wall is located in an upper section relative to the depth of water, and there is an additional deflector wall (5) in the lower section of the river. The second deflector wall extends from the bank (23) near the first wall in a direction towards the river (1), to deflect a dense flow near the river bed into a direction towards the center of the river. An area between second deflector wall and bank is filled with material, and in this area, the deflector/divider wall is supported on stilts.
