[origin: EP1057953A2] The closing cylinder (1) and or key (10) has tumbler pins (14) behind each other in a row and possessing a point (23) with adjoining cylindrical section (20). The cylinder pins are positioned in the cylinder core (8) across the wide side of the key-duct (9). Additional pins (15) face the gaps between the tumbler pins. Recesses (12,13) facing the wide sides of the key contain the tumbler and additional pins. At least one recess belonging to a tumbler pin and a recess for the shared additional pin penetrate a common plane parallel with the key's broad surface. The plane (x-x) intersects the cylindrical section.
