[origin: EP1057962A2] The plastic window frame profile (100), in particular, for cellar windows has a basically U-shaped cross section whose side elements (101a, 101b) form a pane groove (106), with a channel (111) for a bearing journal located between the pane groove and the profile base (102). A reinforcing chamber (108) - in particular, one with a rectangular cross section - is located between the channel (111) and the pane groove (106). Also claimed are a pivotable ventilation unit with the proposed frame profile, a window incorporating such a unit, and a method for producing the latter.
