[origin: FR2775205A1] The method comprises the following successive steps: (a) continuous casting of a stainless steel strip; (b) descaling of the strip; (c) cold-rolling of the strip; (d) annealing and pickling, or bright-annealing; (e) rolling of the strip to give it a final form; and (f) coiling of the strip. An Independent claim is also included for an installation which includes a continuous casting section (8), a descaling and cleaning section (13-19), a cold-rolling section (21), a section (26-31) for annealing and pickling or bright-annealing, a finish rolling section (33, 34) and a coiling section (37). It also includes buffer storage sections (12, 20, 25, 32, 35).
