[origin: DE19807916A1] The invention relates to an awning with a cloth, a cloth roller, a drawing element, and a winding reel (26) on which the drawing element can be wound and during which the cloth is unwound. The winding reel is designed in such a way that it has a minimal base diameter and such that it is provided with additional components (40) which can be placed on the winding reel (26) and which can be used to enlarge the base diameter of the winding reel (26) to correspond with the maximal dropping length of the cloth.
