The applicator comprises gripping component (2) integral with application part (4) formed from base (3) on which application support (6), defining domed application surface (6a), is mounted. The applicator comprises operating part (11), which modifies profile of application surface. The operating part passes through passage (12) in base so as to engage application support and modify its profile.
