The metallic cartridge case is at least partially internally coated with an anti-erosion coating comprising powdered titanium oxide. The coating is in form of solid rigid sleeve comprising combustible matrix filled with titanium oxide. The content of the latter is 10-30 wt.% per total weight of sleeve and combustible matrix comprises fibrous nitrocellulose, fibrous cellulose and organic resin. Independent claims are also included for the following: (i) a munition for firearms comprising metallic cartridge case provided with percussion cap and projectile, and containing propulsive combustible charge, where the cartridge case is as above; and (ii) an anti-erosion device aimed to provide interior coating of metallic cartridge case for firearms and having form of rigid sleeve consisting of combustible matrix filled with titanium oxide, as above.
