[origin: WO9937596A1] A method for treatment of manure, solid manure and/or liquid manure may comprise the steps of: a) separation of manure, etc. in a fraction with a relatively high content of solid matter and a liquid fraction with a relatively low content of solid matter, b) treatment of the liquid fraction for the attainment of a gas phase containing NH3, c) oxidation of the gas phase containing NH3 into free nitrogen and/or compounds containing nitrogen oxide. Step b) may comprise boiling the liquid fraction, and compressing and subsequent condensing the gas phase containing NH3. Step c) may be carried out by catalysis. A plant for working the method may comprise separating means, boiling means for boiling the liquid fraction for the attainment of a gas phase containing NH3, oxidation means for oxidation of the gas phase containing NH3 into free nitrogen and/or compounds containing nitrogen oxide.
