[origin: WO9945275A1] The invention relates to a liquid mechanical pump, comprising a rotatably mounted running wheel in a pump housing, at least one control disk with an aspirating port and a pressure port. The pressure port opens into a pressure chamber via the control disk and the pump cover. A pressure pipe is connected to the pressure chamber. A closing member is arranged inside the pressure chamber in the path of flow between the opening of the pressure port and the opening of the mouth of the pressure pipe. Said closing member has a through opening which includes a cross-section that can automatically be adapted to the volume of the medium transported by the inventive pump. The invention is characterised in that the closing member is a moveable plate secured on one side inside the pressure chamber and that it opens up a slit shaped cross-section according to the delivery between the plate and the control disk or pump cover.
