Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1061167A1] Knitted fabric is made from a yarn (21) made by the SiroSpun process where a cotton and/or wool and/or synthetic sliver (14,15) is drawn in a drafting system (10) and combined with an elastomeric yarn (22) at the front roller (13). The components are twisted together on a conventional ring-spinning machine. An Independent claim is also included for the use of such yarns in elastic stockings, pantyhose, socks or other elastic garments.
