[origin: EP1061179A1] The crash barrier consists of posts (4) which are fixed into the ground (3). W-profiled rails (7, 8) are attached to these by spacers (5, 6) at two different heights. The lower rails (7) project further towards the road than the higher ones (8). The spacers consist of two arms (10, 11, 12, 13) which are at an angle to each other. They have flanges (14) at the inner end which allow them to be attached to the post and a second set of flanges (15) which can be attached inside the grooves (16, 17) on the rails.
