Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1061489A1] The detector has an infrared sensor (4) placed behind a window (2) in an housing (1). A sabotage detector comprises an infrared transmitter (12) and an infrared receiver (13), arranged within the housing (1). The window (2) in the housing wall is transparent to the outgoing radiation from the infrared transmitter. Sabotage of the alarm is monitored by measuring the component of the radiation reaching the receiver (13) after reflection from the inside of the window (2) and the component of the radiation from the surrounding space.
