Abstract (en)

The method involves processing detected traffic data. The data are entered in a grid that is divided along the road w.r.t. the location (x). To determine a weighting function (g(x)), a weighting is defined for each location on the grid based on the traffic data. The weighting of a traffic datum is defined as being highest at the measuring location and decreasing as the distance form the measuring location increases. The traffic function along the grid is calculated for those locations for which no traffic data are available by equating the data with the nearest-lying data available and then multiplying with the weighting function. The average road sped or journey time is determined from the integral or sum of the values of the traffic function divided by the integral or sum of the values of the weighting function. An Independent claim is also included for a center for detecting the traffic situation.

Abstract (de)

Eine effiziente Berechnung von Reisezeiten oder Reisegeschwindigkeiten wird ermöglicht durch ein System bzw. Verfahren zur Bestimmung der mittleren Reisegeschwindigkeit oder Reisezeit auf mindestens einer Straße oder einem Straßenabschnitt eines Straßenverkehrsnetzes durch Bearbeitung von erfaßten Verkehrs- Meßwerten (Fig. 1, v(x)) betreffend Orte (x) auf der Straße des Straßenverkehrsnetzes, wobei die Verkehrs- Meßwerte (v(x)) in ein entlang der Straße hinsichtlich des Ortes (x) diskretisiertes Raster eingetragen werden, zur Ermittlung des Gewichtsverlaufes (g(x)) entlang des Rasters der Straße für einen Verkehrs- Meßwert jeweils je Ort des Rasters der Straße ein die Bedeutung dieses Verkehrs- Meßwertes für die Reisezeit und / oder Reisegeschwindigkeit an diesem Ort repräsentierendes Gewicht definiert wird, wobei das Gewicht eines Verkehrs-Meßwertes als am Meß- Ort am höchsten und als mit zunehmender Entfernung vom Meßort abnehmend definert wird, der Verkehrsverlauf entlang des Rasters der Straße mittels der vorhandenen Verkehrs- Meßwerte an den Orten des Rasters für Orte ohne vorliegende Verkehrs-Meßwerte durch Gleichsetzen der Verkehrs-Meßwerte mit den nächst- benachbarten vorliegenden Verkehrs-Meßwerten und anschließende Multiplikation mit dem Gewichtsverlauf über den Ort bestimmt wird, die mittlere Reisegeschwindigkeit oder Reisezeit für die Straße oder einen Abschnitt der Straße durch das Integral oder die Summe der Werte des Verkehrsverlaufes entlang der Orte des Rasters der betrachteten Straße geteilt durch das Integral oder die Summe der Werte des Gewichtsverlaufes entlang der Orte des Rasters der betrachteten Straße bestimmt wird. <IMAGE>
