Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1061664A2] The transmitted data are spread for different connections using at least one connection-specific spreading code. The spread data are transmitted jointly and detected at the receiver in the frequency domain. The data of the different connections may be jointly detected. Sequences of symbols of the data are detected using an overlap method. At least one symbol is rejected at the end of a sequence. At least one symbol may be rejected at the start of a sequence. The received signal may consist of individual reception signals from several antenna elements. At the receiver, the transmission channels of the connection are modeled in the time domain, and transformed into the frequency domain.
