Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1061780A2] The operation lamp has at least two discharge lamps (11) that can be switched on and off and can be ignited and alternatively switched on by igniters (12,16) and illuminate an operating field (14) via an optical arrangement, especially at least one reflector (13,13'). Several, especially two discharge lamps with individual igniters and of different power levels are provided, whereby the illumination intensity in the operation field can be varied by switching from one lamp to another.
