Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9946365A1] The present invention provides a method of increasing the percentage of gamma/delta T-cells in a population of hematolymphoid cells and which gamma/delta T-cells can survive for a prolonged period, comprising: a) contacting a population of hematolymphoid cells with interleukin 12 and a ligand of CD2 which induces responsiveness to interleukin 12; and b) contacting the cells of step (a) with an antibody to CD3 and interleukin-2. The present invention also provides a method of treating cancer, treating an infection, promoting wound healing and enhancing bone marrow engraftment in a subject comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of the cells of this invention.
