[origin: WO9947682A1] The application relates to an ADPglucose transporter complex comprising at least a first and second polypeptide capable of ADPglucose transport activity and which may be isolated from plant amyloplasts. The application further relates to DNA molecules encoding said polypeptides or proteins which modulate the complex, plants cells transformed with the DNA molecules and also methods of regulating starch production in plants or plant cells by modulating ADPglucose transport.
