Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2775986A1] Metal component is treated using a plasma gas to deoxidize and/or degrease its surface. Surface treatment of a metal component (12) by deoxidizing and/or degreasing, comprises: (a) filling an airtight enclosure (16), in which is arranged the component (12) to be treated, with a reducing gas mixture at low pressure; (b) establishing a static magnetic field in the distinct zone of the enclosure in which the component is placed; and (c) exciting the gas mixture by means of an electromagnetic wave injected into the enclosure in a manner to generate a plasma treatment gas. The intensity of the static magnetic field corresponds to the cyclotronic electronic resonance. An Independent claim is also included for an installation for performing the above surface treatment.
