Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19900405A1] The invention relates to a method for mounting a valve module of a fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines. The fuel injector comprises an electromagnetic actuating element having a magnet coil, an inner pole and an outer magnetic circuit component (5), as well as a mobile valve closing body which cooperates with a valve seat assigned to a valve seat body (15). The valve seat body (15) and the inner pole are arranged in an inner opening (11) of a thin-walled valve sleeve (6) and the magnet coil and outer magnetic circuit component (5) are positioned on the outer circumference of the valve sleeve (6). First the magnetic circuit component (5) is slid on to the valve sleeve (6) and then the valve seat body (15) is pressed into the inner opening (11) of the valve sleeve (6) such that the pushing in of the valve seat body (15) in itself causes the valve sleeve (6) and magnetic circuit component (5) to be firmly joined.
