Abstract (en)
The invention provides greater rigidity in a wiper arm (3) unitarily formed of an arm shank section (4) for connecting to an arm head (2) and an arm piece section (5) for connecting to a wiper blade (7). An intermediate section (6) is formed between the arm shank section (4) and the arm piece section (5) of the wiper arm. The section (6) has a bottom surface portion (6a) and folded-back portions (6c) which approach the bottom surface portion and oppose each other. While the bottom surface portion is laterally curved, the thickness of the intermediate section (6) facing a window surface is over twice the thickness of a plate material by forming a gap between the bottom surface portion (6a) and the folded-back portions (6c). <IMAGE>
