Abstract (en)
Extraction of a sweetened juice from freshly grated sugar beet or chicory comprises successive extracting by pressing at least twice, optionally with water. Extraction of a sweetened juice from freshly grated sugar beet or chicory comprises successive extracting by pressing several times in a first step using a first pressing means and optionally adding water and a second juice and a second pressing step of a food mixture comprising the first pressed juice and water mixture using a membrane filter press having cyclic movement.
