Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9947027A1] The invention relates to a multilayer slatted frame, especially for seats and beds, comprised of straight (a) and curved (b) slats which are arranged perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the bed. Said slats are held in woven loops (h) and are interspaced from one another by elastic supporting bodies (d, f) covered by woven covers (j) which are opened by means of a zip fastener (o). Straight (a) and curved (b) slats are arranged such that the straight slats lie upon the curved slats in the pelvic and lumbar portions (e) of the spinal column and are held on the contact points in an interspaced manner by superimposed woven loops of various lengths and widths (c). According to the construction corresponding to the different variation possibilities, the slats and the elastic bodies can be left out, or the elastic bodies can be of different heights by using beams which run in a longitudinal direction as support or by increasing the strength of the slats. The elastic support bodies are made of latex, foamed material or natural fibrous materials. In an alternative construction, an air, gel and water-tight cover (k) is situated inside the woven covers (j) which are opened by means of a zip fastener (o). Said cover (k) is filled with water (l), gel (m) or air (n).
