Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2776317A1] The structure consists of a lightweight cover (1) in the shape of a geometrical surface of revolution such as a dome, supported by a peripheral float (2) set in a bath of a fluid (3). A drive system enables the cover to be stabilized and rotated about its axis and is controlled by sensors monitoring climatic and ambient conditions. A large structure could be equipped with a series of independently movable domes.
