[origin: EP1065164A2] The speed restrictor which includes a regulator cable (30) and arrester device on the cradle and a release mechanism for the arrester device has a clamping mechanism (50) with its own release device to secure the regulator cable for restricting the speed in the upward direction. The clamping mechanism is released through a release rod (60) mechanically with the release mechanism of the speed restrictor.
