Abstract (en)
The cable consists of several multi-wire steel strands (13) with their ends attached to anchoring points (12) in the bridge infrastructure by connectors (15). Each connector has a body in the form of a steel nut (31) with parallel end faces and lengthwise lateral grooves to receive the cable strands (13), each strand being pre-stressed and consisting of seven wires with a sacrificial anti-corrosion covering. Each strand also has a stop (33) at one end in the form of a threaded or crimped steel sleeve or a bush fixed in place by a conical wedge, and the nut has a thrust surface on one end face to interact with the stops.

Ce câble de suspension pour pont suspendu, comprend plusieurs torons multifils (13) en acier, qui sont ancrés à leurs deux extrémités à des points d'ancrage (12) prévus sur l'infrastructure du pont, chaque toron (13) du câble étant un toron de précontrainte comportant sept fils d'acier munis d'une protection sacrificielle anti-corrosion. Il comporte en outre au moins un dispositif d'accrochage (15) à au moins une de ses extrémités pour son accrochage à l'un desdits points d'ancrage (12), ledit dispositif d'accrochage (15) comportant une noix cylindrique (31) ayant, dans sa périphérie, des encoches capables de recevoir chacune un toron d'un groupe de torons (13) du câble et de les retenir dans un sens longitudinal du câble, et un trou central capable de recevoir une extrémité (16b) d'une barre d'ancrage (16) et de la retenir dans le sens longitudinal opposé dudit câble. <IMAGE>
